In order to prepare this unit for sale we changed the oil, serviced the transmission, flushed the brake fluid, performed a front brake job, replaced the battery, replaced a headrest, installed a spare tire hold down, installed four tires, performed an alignment, changed the cabin air filter, replaced the wiper blades, performed an upper engine fuel cleaning and added a fuel system treatment ($3,065 value). We found the brakes to have 100% front and 75% rear pads remaining. The tires are new General RT45s.
The check engine light is on. The CRV runs perfectly with no drivability issues. We have decided to sell it as-is since it is such a good vehicle otherwise. We have diagnosed the issue to be an evaporative issue. We have replaced every component associated with the system with no resolution. We have replaced the fuel tank, the purge control valve, the canister vent valve, and the Electronic Control Unit ($3000 value).
